I am a digital accessibility advocate and specialist. It’s a natural progression from my 9+ year digital marketing background where the workflow is routinely centred around awareness-focused campaigns and driving conversions. Within the conventional marketing process, I noticed many barriers to entry within the digital space which excluded people with differing needs to consult services. Since then I've focused my efforts into improving digital experiences. Good marketing is inclusive and accessible. Conversions are more than metrics - they are proof that a barrier has been removed.
As a digital accessibility specialist, I can help you optimise both your external facing and internal facing digital content ensuring it meets WCAG success criteria and functions with assistive technology so that your platform can be reached by all communities. As a digital marketer, I can implement accessibility into your strategy and outreach so you have the tools you need to drive empowered, authentic campaigns.
I have a breadth of experience as a marketer across the arts, tech, education, charity and music sectors. I’ve also been a contributor for former publication gal-dem and my article on the Windrush scandal was referenced in a Goldsmiths University lecture and footnoted in a Routledge book on Windrush policy. In 2019, during my time at Runnymede Trust, I facilitated a conversation on Sky News’ Sunrise programme to talk about the lack of diasporic and ethnically diverse histories in the UK curriculum. In 2021 I helped with the initial launch of London based community radio station Voices radio, of which I currently present a monthly music show.
I also offer audio production services. I am an adept audio producer with DAW proficiency (dira! Startrack, Logic Pro, Adobe Audition). I have built radio packages which have broadcasted on BBC Music Introducing, produced podcast series for Maslaha and Bass Culture Research and I produced the audio for Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan’s ‘Whose Eyes Are These Anyway’ as well as an audio documentary on the rich music legacy of Mobile, Alabama. On an accessibility front, I can help you create audio based resources to complement your digital platforms and resources.
Occasionally I do DJ, having played gigs for a decade. I started assisting on community radio stations 11 years ago such as NTS, Balamii and Worldwide FM. Inspired by the art of broadcasting and music curation, I began to DJ my own selections out in parties, bars and clubs. Notable gigs over the last decade have included Lost Village, We Out Here, EFG London Jazz Festival, Basket Of Light, Brick Lane Jazz Festival, Jazz on Wick and Shubbak as well as opening up for Erykah Badu at the Southbank Centre and playing alongside Andrew Ashong, Marc Mac and Vikter Duplaix.
Creatively strategic, diligent and with a results driven attitude, I am looking to take on new projects in 2026. My recent work includes leading Brick Lane Jazz Festival's marketing campaign in 2026, delivering a multi-city UK book tour for an author, delivering talks on neuroinclusivity for Music Publishers Association and curating playlists alongside music consultant Aisha Nanor Martin for Poolhouse. My experience allows me to lead a complete process from start to finish from planning, project management, execution and retrospective evaluation. Please get in contact if you’d like to chat further.
